Scope and boundaries

Who this is for

Operations directors at NL/EU mid-size firms (50+ employees) with an internal team already in place, scoping a specific gap: AI integration strategy, GDPR-aware governance for an AI rollout, content-and-SEO architecture for a B2B publishing programme, or specialist support during a market-entry / regulatory transition. Cares about audit trails, traceability, and senior contact. Wants a defined statement of work, not a 12-month subscription with vague deliverables.

Scope and boundaries

Prior strategic counsel work

Hossam's Master's-era engagements demonstrate the embedded model in practice: charted market-entry strategy for an EdTech innovator at World Startup (Den Haag); devised AI integration strategies for enhanced financial advisory at Finance Matters (Den Haag); produced global engagement blueprints for Immersive Tech Week (Rotterdam); spoke on resilience and global business at Venture Café Rotterdam (2023). The MSc thesis at Rotterdam Business School ("Strategic Frameworks for AI Adoption in Small and Medium-sized Educational Enterprises (SMEs): A Dutch Market Analysis", Aug 2024) is the research foundation for the Dutch-market-specific work.

Five connected systems

Engagement shapes

Three patterns. Real scope is fixed in a Systems Fit Call before any service agreement is signed.

01

Audit & roadmap

2–4 weeks

Fixed-scope assessment of an existing AI / content / digital systems situation, ending in a written roadmap with prioritized actions, technical recommendations, and risk flags. Useful when the internal team needs an outside specialist's read before committing to a build.

02

Build sprint

4–10 weeks

Concentrated implementation engagement — typically standing up a content-and-SEO architecture, a governed-AI workflow, or a customer-facing platform component. Hossam ships, the internal team owns the running operation afterward. Clear handover criteria; no perpetual dependency.

03

Embedded support

per-quarter

Ongoing specialist presence inside the team — a fixed weekly time commitment for a defined operational area (governance reviews, content cadence oversight, AI-rollout-quality assurance). Renewable per quarter; not a perpetual retainer.

Scope and boundaries

Commercial shape

Service agreements are scoped per engagement. Systems Fit Call is at no charge, ~30 minutes, with Hossam directly. If a fit emerges, a written statement of work follows within five business days, with fixed deliverables, timeline, and price. We do not publish a public day rate or retainer floor — the engagement shape varies too much across audit / build-sprint / embedded-support patterns. What we do publish: the governance posture every engagement runs under, and the prior counsel work that demonstrates the model.

A sensible fit

Owner-led firms with a real operating outcome.

The system is most useful when someone owns the next decision and is willing to review the evidence.

Keep specialist tools specialist

What enterprise support is not

Keep specialist systems where they are needed; iSystem connects the layer around them.

  • A multi-team agency relationship — Hossam is the operator. There is no second-tier delivery layer behind him.
  • A platform subscription with an enterprise SLA — that's a category iSystem doesn't ship. Growth scope; enterprise is per-engagement.
  • Open-ended retainer hours billed at unspecified scope. Every engagement is a defined statement of work with deliverables and exit criteria.
  • A path around the governance constraints. Embedded engagements still run on the same governed AI workflow with ledger and review — those constraints are the product, not friction to be removed.
